Special clean-up days are held twice a year, usually in the spring and fall seasons.

Dates will be announced in the Undercurrent and distributed in neighbourhood mail for those who receive flyers.

Decals will be available for sale at the Snug Cove General Store when the date has been announced

Drop off will be done by appointment ONLY

A limited number of appointments will be made available

Drop off of materials will be inside the BIRD yard

Liquids accepted:

  • Paints and stains
  • Flammable Liquids
  • Or container says:  Keep Away From Open Flame or Spark
  • Paint thinners, other solvents, camp fuels or liquid adhesives with the flammable symbol

Max container size:

  • Kerosene 9L
  • Other liquids 10L

Domestic Pesticides Accepted:

  • Consumer pesticides with the poisonous (skull & crossbones) symbol AND ”Pest Control Product” registration number (REG#12345 PCP ACT)
  • In original containers only

Max container size: 10L

Gasoline accepted:

  • In approved ULC containers only

Max container size: 25L

Not Accepted

  • Products that cannot be identifed
  • Products that are leaking or improperly sealed
  • Empty containers
  • Commercial, industrial, or agricultural products
  • Cosmetics, health and beauty aids
  • Insect repellants, disinfectants, and pet products
  • Diesel, propane, and butane fuels
  • Caulking tubes
  • Fertilizer

Paint Cans

  • Do not bring in paint cans that have a very small amount
  • Open and combine your paint together to fill the cans
  • Allow empty cans to dry and put metal cans in the metal bins
